Sarah Price

Altamahaw-Sarah Hensley Price,102 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Dillard and Fannie Coleman Hensley and the wife of the late Henry Otto Price who died in 1996.
Sarah retired from Frizzell Hosiery Mill. She was a longtime member of Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the Joy club and was very involved in the Women's ministries of the church. Sarah was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. Everyone she met was always greeted with a sweet smile.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Harder and husband, Allen of Burlington; son, Ronald Glenn Price and wife, Linda of Burlington; grandchildren, Ronald Channing Price and wife, Lisa, Jennifer Britt Price, Beverly Harder Young and husband, Tim and Allen Price Harder; great grandchildren, Grant Madren, Logan Madren, Kaelyn Young, Alanna Harder, Emily Price and Charlie Price; great great grandchildren, Kennedy Young and Brycen Madren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, Jack Henry Price who died in 2010; sister, Kitty Sykes and brother, James Hensley.
The Price family would like to thank the nurses and staff of White Oak Manor for their kind and compassionate care for Sarah over the past four years.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral home Chapel by Dr. Michael Johnson and Rev. Garry Yeats and the burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
