BURLINGTON- Mrs. Sara Duncan King, 79, formerly of Ridgeway Dr., died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at White Oak Manor after several months of failing health. A native of Chatham County, she was the daughter of the late John Anderson Duncan and the late Sarah Alma Keller Duncan and was married to the late Melvin E. King, who died in 1987. She was retired from Burlington Mills and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Christian Club. Mrs. King is survived by a sister, Katie Duncan Harrell of Archdale; a brother, Willie "Billy" Duncan of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Madeline Duncan Scott and Wilma Duncan Stephens; and four brothers, Elmer Duncan, Bedford Duncan, Malcom Duncan and John Jerome Duncan. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 Monday, May 14, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bob Stephenson and the Rev. Greg Burriss. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
