Sandra Hathaway

Sandra Morris Overman Hathaway, 77 of Elon died on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Alamance County to the late Daniel A. and Ersell Southard Morris and was married to Willie Hathaway who died on July 18, 2014. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Carter of Burlington; sons, Timmy Teresa Overman of Graham, Toby Beverly Overman of Burlington; stepsons, Lucky Ray Hathaway of Yanceyville and Donald Edward Hathaway of Ossipee; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren and a brother, William "Bill" Glenda Morris of Hickory. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Sandy Overman, sister, Janice Gallagher, brother, Larry Morris and great granddaughter, Leia Taylor Ward. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home and other times at the daughter's home, Ellen Carter, 2516 W. Front St., Burlington.
