Sandra Gurkin

Sandra Kay Alford Gurkin passed away Friday June 1, 2012 after several years of failing health. Born in Alamance County she was the daughter of the late James Alvin and Ola Mae Harris Alford and wife of Jerry Gurkin, Sr. who survives of the home, sons Jason Gurkin of the home, Jerry Gurkin, Jr. Erin Morris and Justin Gurkin Sherri Gittings all of Burlington, brothers Don Alford and his wife Betty and Jerry Alford all of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janice Zaic. She was a member of the White Dove Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday June 4, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Harold Profitt and Rev. Howard Thompson. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday June 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. and other times at the home of Don and Betty Alford, 2306 Faucette Lane, Burlington, NC In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sandra Gurkin Funeral Fund, % Lowe Funeral Home, 2205 S.
