Samuel Trull

Samuel Ellis "Sam" Trull, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016. He passed away at the Hospice Home with immediate family members present.
He was born in Alamance County to the late John Plummer Trull and Eula Belle Cates Trull and was married to Shirley Ann Underwood Trull. Sam was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, the Adult Men's Sunday School Class and served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee and the Building and Grounds Committee. He retired from L.W. Pritchett, Jr., Inc., better known as Pritchett Oil Company, after 43 years of service. Mr. Trull was an avid gardner who also enjoyed just spending time outdoors working on his yard or in his flowers. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Ann Underwood Trull, daughters, Julie (David) Helms of Richmond, VA, Jill (Doug) Simpson of Gibsonville; son, Steven Trull of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jennifer Helms, Kayla Helms and Samantha Goins; sister, Ethelyn (Harry) Fitch of Burlington and brother, John Stacey (Edna) Trull of Graham.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church by Rev. Judson Dunlap with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
