Samuel Smith

Samuel Keith "Sam" Smith, age 42, of 2879 Pagetown Rd., passed away suddenly Thursday, April 15, 2010. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Jamie Cochran Smith and son of Billy Gordon Smith and Estelle Bailey Atkins. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and both the Faucette and Cherry Grove Volunteer Fire Departments. He was the owner/operator of Full Circle Maintenance. Survivors include his wife Jamie Cochran Smith of the home; 2 sons, Jacob Smith and Avery Smith both of the home; sister, Lavern S. Thompson and husband Lindale of Bahama; father, Billy Gordon Smith of Burlington; and mother, Estelle Bailey Atkins of Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Harvest Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Lamberth. Interment will follow in Camp Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Smith will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Saturday and other times at the home. Volunteer firemen are asked to sit as honorary pallbearers.
