Samuel “Sam” Richard Glosson, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2022. He was born in Alamance County to the late John Willis Glosson and Novella Elizabeth Tate Glosson and was married for 64 years to the late Thelma Tingen Glosson.
Sam attended Harvest Hills Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, traveling across the country with his beloved wife Thelma, and spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Murray (Alan), Judy Dow (Charles); son, Garry Lee Glosson; grandson, David Glosson (Amanda); granddaughter, Kristen Michelle Glosson and great grandson, Michael James Glosson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, grandson, Mark Alan Murray and siblings, Mary Jane Farrell, Thomas Luther Glosson, John Willis Glosson, Jr., James Donald Glosson, William Cecil Glosson, Sadie Glosson Poe and Frances Glosson Sharpe.
The service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Russell Morris with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff at Home Instead and caregiver Cassandra Miller for taking such good care of Sam.
