Sally Sunderland

Mrs. Sally Wynn Sunderland, age 80, of 354 Birch Creek Rd., died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 after several months of failing health. Born in St. Paul, MN she was the daughter of the late Thomas Wynn and the late Betty Stir Wynn and was married for over 47 years to Mr. Jeral Max Sunderland, Sr., who survives. She was matriarch of her family and her arms were always open to give love and comfort to everyone in her presence. Mrs. Sunderland was survived by her husband of the home; three daughters, Lynn McAfee of Huddleston, VA, Susan Morris and her husband, Frank, of Las Vegas, NV and Terri Walsh of McLeansville; two sons, Kenneth Basquez and his wife, Linda, of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jeral M. Sunderland, Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Bassett, VA; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Williams of Florida; and two brothers, Peter Wynn and John Wynn, both of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Darrell Lee Basquez; step-mother, Pearl Wynn; and a brother, Thomas Wynn. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening, May 11, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O.
