Sally Thomas Apple, 82, of McLeansville went to live with Jesus on April 16, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, she was born August 2, 1942 to the late Wade Thomas and Alene Lashley Thomas. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Apple; three sisters, Sylvia King, Frances James, and Doris Thompson; and a brother Edward Thomas.
Sally was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, McLeansville, where she sang in the choir, helped with children’s Bible School, and volunteered in the church office. She retired from the Guilford County School System.
She is survived by her daughter, Belinda Fonville Beeson, and husband Bryan of Colfax; stepson Scott Apple and wife Tonilyn of Gibsonville; brother Wade Thomas, Jr. (Nancy) of Burlington and sister Janice Thompson (Mike) of Burgaw. And many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 PM, April 22, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, McLeansville. The Reverend Debra Swing and Reverend Allan Van Meter will officiate the service. Family will receive friends from 12noon until 12:45PM prior to the service.
The family wishes to thank Authora Care/Beacon Place, Greensboro and Dr. Yen Feng and the entire staff at Wesley Long Cancer Center for their exceptional care.
