Ryen Shaw

Burlington-Ryen DeWitt Shaw passed to the Lord on September 22, 2016 after suffering an unexpected stroke. Ryen is survived by his loving wife, Sonja Shaw; sons Noah (8), twins Henry and Oliver (6) Shaw; his mother Mrs. Cathy Keck; brothers Adrian (Melanie); Ethan (Barbara); Chris (Mindy) and sister Sheila. He is preceded in death by his father; Ronald DeWitt Shaw.
Ryen was born on March 28, 1976 in Wilmington, NC. Ryen was a devoted father completely dedicated to all aspects of his family's life. He was a Cub Scout Troop Leader and member of the St. Mark's Church in Burlington, NC. He worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Liberty Commons. He enjoyed taking his family on trips to the North Carolina coast to spend family weekends on the beaches he and Sonja loved so much. He was a devout Christian man and gentle soul who personified quiet service and kindness to all. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life for Ryen is scheduled for Sunday at 3 pm, September 25, at the St. Mark's Interdenominational Church at 1230 St. Marks Church Road, Burlington, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
