Ruzie Suggs

Burlington, NC Ruzie Dixon Suggs, age 90 went home to be with her Lord. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late George Roberts Suggs. Ruzie retired as a nursing assistant and she attended Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Ruzie enjoyed gardening whether it be growing flowers or vegetables. She was a caregiver to her family, looking after her brother and sister. Her gift was serving others and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Suffern of Greensboro and her brother, Thaxton Dixon of Greensboro, numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful Poodle companion "Pierre". She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Robeston and Nagatha Guy Dixon and her brothers, Adolphosis, Willard, Harris, Elwood and Joel Dixon and an infant brother. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at Ebenezer United Church of Christ by Dr. Larry E. Covington and assisted by Rev. Eva Ratliff. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her nephew, Shayne Suffern, 1409 Rogers Road, Graham, NC 27253.
