Ruth Sprague

Burlington, NC Ruth Arrwood Sprague, age 79, of Overhill Drive passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Jackson County and the wife of 64 years to Herbert "Bill" Winston Sprague who survives. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed growing flowers and cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Louise and Danny Rabon; son, Gary Dale Sprague of Burlington; granddaughters, Deanna Hayes, Lorri Watts and Brandi Kronberg; three great grandchildren; sister, Mary Bumgarner of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Dale Sprague; parents, Jacob and Nina Taylor Arrwood; sister, Martha Vance and a brother, Herman Arrwood. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Jimmy Burks and the family will be at the home at other times.
