Ruth Reichard

Ruth Elizabeth Reichard, 88, died September 11, 2008. She was the wife of John Jack M. Reichard of the home at Twin Lakes. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Susan R. Allred and Thomas A. Allred of Clemmons. She is also survived by two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Ruth was a member of Low's Lutheran Church. Her major hobby besides cooking and baking was horticulture. She was State President of the Garden Club of North Carolina from 1969-1970. She was a Master Flower Show judge. She was also president of the Ikebana Japanese Flower Show Arranging Society in Charlotte. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Foley Chapel at Twin Lakes with Pastor Dr. David M. Mielke officiating. A 1:00 p.m. burial will take place at Low's Lutheran Church Cemetery prior to the service at Twin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Twin Lakes Memory Care Center, 3810 Heritage Drive Burlington, NC 27215. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Reichard family.
