Ruth Odee

Elon - Ruth Dolores Odee, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Oaks of Alamance after several months of declining health. She was born in Bergen County, New Jersey on March 18, 1929 to the late William and Martha Glock Vincent and was the wife of nearly 65 years to the late John Steven Odee.

Ruth was formerly of Ft. Myers, FL where she spent 20 years after retiring with her husband. She attended St. Marks Church with her family. Ruth loved cooking, playing cards, painting birdhouses and swimming. She found great joy in spending time with her four grandchildren who loved her dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ruth is survived by her son, Steven Odee (Cathy); grandson, Daniel Odee; granddaughters, Christina Becraft-Odee (Regina), Brittany Odee, Taylor Odee; sister, Carole Janer (Tom) and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers, Ron Vincent and Billy Vincent and a sister, Joan Fontana.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Odee family.
