Burlington - Ruth Marlene Ligon, 74, passed away May 18, 2015 at White Oak Manor after many years of failing health. A native of Gaston County, she was born June 21, 1940 to the late Oliver Monroe Taylor and Vergie Absher Taylor. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Shiles Rambeaut and husband Darrell of Burlington, Debbie Shiles Johnson and husband Michael of Hickory, Regina Shiles Ellis and husband Steve of Campobello, SC; sons, Ronald "Bubba" Eugene Shiles, Jr. and wife Tracy of Gastonia and Pastor Billy Ginn and wife Tina of York, SC; grandchildren, Jaclyn Crisp Davis and husband Caleb, Chevas Smith, Gavin Smith and wife Nikki, Michael Ellis, Lauren Ellis Smith and husband Chris, Samuel Shiles, Nicholas Shiles, Danika Jakab and husband Dustin, Rebekah Ginn and Moriah Ginn; six great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Hovis, Brenda Giles and husband Barney; brothers, Bob Wolfe, Monroe Taylor and wife Frances and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eddie Taylor. The family would like to thank the nurses at White Oak Manor for their loving care and support during Ruth's illness. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Ruth Johnson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Following the service the family has invited everyone to join them for a meal at Bible Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
