Ruth Hunt

Mrs. Ruth Black Hunt, age 85, of Woolwine Ct. passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Ashton Place. A native of New Hanover County, she was the wife of the late Joseph Wilson Hunt and daughter of the late Harrison Eli and Julia Myrtle Black Black. She was a member of Heidelburg United Church of Christ in Thomasville and a volunteer with Cooperative Community Ministry. Mrs. Hunt is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ann Hunt Smith and husband Donald J. Smith and Kay Hunt Eddinger and husband Jeff Eddinger of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Kathryn Smith Coiro and husband John, Jennifer Brackett and husband Jeramy and Amanda Collett and husband John; great grandchildren, Kaelyn and Kenan Brackett. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville by Rev. Paul Rhodes. The family would like to the thank Carlene Nixon and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for the special care and support given their mother during her illness.
