Ruth Harness

Burlington Ruth J. Harness, 86, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Twin Lakes Community. She was born in Davenport, Iowa to the late Gifford Joseph Walther and the late Kate Marie Lake Walther. Ruth retired in Human Resources in Raleigh and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Elon. Survivors include her children and spouses, David Harness of Davenport, IA, Regina and David Gaudet of Kaleden, BC, Canada, Paul and Normajean Harness of Lake Geneva, WI, Daniel and Ida Harness of Ames, IA, Philip and Larie Harness of Boulder, CO; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. There will be no services. Lowe Funeral Home is serving the Harness family.
