Ruth Gillispie

Ruth C. Gillispie, 80, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009. A native of High Point, NC, she was born to the late Cletus and Maggie Henderson Chapman. Ruth moved from Burlington to Tallahassee, FL in 2005. She was a member of Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was the owner of the Grape Vine Interiors for many years in Cocoa, FL and had worked for Rego Industires in Burlington. She is survived by her two daughters, Tereasa Gillispie of Tallahassee, FL and Cheryl Griffin of Barnsville, GA; sisters, Esther Terrell of Gibsonville, Dorothy Howell of Burlington, and Naomi Ashley of Burlington; brothers, Donald Chapman of Metter, GA. and James Chapman of Burlington; grandsons, D.J. Dobson, Chris Dobson, Wesley Dobson and Brandon Griffin; and two great grandsons, Brendan Dobson and Justin Dobson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gerry Yeatts and Rev. Mike Johnson. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
