Ruth Davis

Ruth Burress Davis of 3126 Truitt Dr., Burlington, NC died Friday, April 24 in Chicago, Illinois where she had recently relocated. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Davis and granddaughters, Meryl and Mollie Davis of Evanston, Illinois; sister Josie Loflin and brother-in-law, Bill Loflin of Colonial Heights, VA; sisters Isabelle Burress, Vivian Lachicotte, Evelyn Carr and Carrie Alsbrooks all of Sumter, SC. She touched the lives of countless other family members, friends and strangers with her sweet smile and kind, gentle ways. She will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. A memorial service will be held at Front Street United Methodist Church in Burlington at 11 am on Saturday, May 2. Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. is serving the family.
