Ruby Pierce

Ruby Dameron Pierce, 74, of 4635 NC 62 North went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro. She was a native of Caswell County and the daughter of the late Walter Anderson and Lillian Fuqua Dameron. She was the wife of 53 years to Albert "Al" R. Pierce, Jr. who survives. Ruby graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and was employed for several years with Western Electric. She was a member of Union Ridge United Church of Christ. Ruby was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she loved growing flowers. Survivors include her husband, Albert "Al" R. Pierce, Jr. of the home; son, Gregory Pierce of Long Beach, Mississippi and a daughter, Teressa Pierce of Burlington; grandsons, Erik McCall of Burlington and Austin Pierce of Long Beach, Mississippi; sisters, Mable McKinney of Elon and Nancy Dameron of Burlington; brothers, Eugene Dameron and Lea Dameron both of Burlington, Grant Dameron of Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe, Glenn and Maxie Dameron. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Phil Hardy and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
