Ruby Freshwater

Ruby Lucille Sutton Freshwater, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at ARMC after a sudden illness. She was born in Alamance County to the late John William and Lydia Isabel Loy Sutton and was married to the late Hubert Alexander Freshwater, Jr. Ruby retired from Carolina Biological Supply and was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Steven N. Freshwater of Burlington, William G. "Bill" Freshwater and wife Sharon P. Freshwater of Kernersville and Michael C. Freshwater of Graham; grandchildren, Amity Dave Manuli and Caitlyn Marc Minnix; great grandchildren, Alexander and Eleanor Manuli, Garrison Freshwater, and sisters, Pauline Sutton Tatum and Alma Sutton Kernodle. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Edgar Sutton, Boyd Sutton and Melvin Sutton. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jon Helton with burial to follow in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in its mission of teaching, research, and public service.
