Roy Caudle, Sr.

Burlington, NC Roy Madison Caudle, Sr. age 81, of 3154 Garden Road died on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Rockingham County and the husband of Lessie Campbell Caudle who survives. Roy retired from Western Electric after 37 years and was a US Marine Corp veteran serving in the South Pacific during WW II. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Lessie Campbell Caudle of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Caudle Miers and her husband, Wendell of Lexington, Kentucky; son and daughter-in-law, Roy Madison Caudle, Jr. and his wife, DeeDee of Graham; grandchildren, Andy Leslie Drewry and Madison Caudle; step grandchildren, Nicholas and Summer Davis; great grandchild, Emma Cate Campbell Drewry. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Madison and Hester Whitten Caudle. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Ray King and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
