Rosa Wofford

Rosa Lee O'Daniel Wofford, age 72, of 2695 West View St., died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Palliative Carecenter and Hospice of Catawba County after several months of failing health. Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Minnie Pierce O'Daniel and was married to Thomas Scism, who survives. She retired from the hosiery industry and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Wofford is survived by her husband of Hickory; two daughters, Debbie Moore and her husband, Carroll, of Connelly Springs, NC and Sherrie Wofford of Newton, NC; two sons, Mike Wofford of Hildebran, NC and Pete Wofford and his wife, Teresa, of Maiden, NC; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Lou Howe of Burlington; and a brother, Bobby O'Daniel of Goldsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Gray Wofford; sister, Mertie Nance; and a brother, Jack O'Daniel. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dave Kelley. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
