Elon-Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Qualls, age 75 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at ARMC. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 39 years to Cathy Mae Terrell Qualls who survives. Ronnie retired from Universal Forestry Products formerly Shoffner Industries after over 30 years and was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and Bob and Pat's Adult Sunday School Class. Ronnie served as an usher and was given the title "Stew Master" for his help with the annual Brunswick stew suppers. Ronnie enjoyed gardening and witnessing for his Lord and Savior. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Mae Terrell Qualls of the home; daughters, Ronda Kell Hickman and husband, Robert of Horse Cave, Kentucky and Lisa Qualls Brown and husband, Dr. Randall Brown of Macon, Georgia; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and sisters, Carolyn McNeely and husband, Rodney of Troutman, NC and Linda Perry of Little Washington, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Qualls and Irma Jeanette Wood Harrison. The family of Ronnie Qualls would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell and Alamance Regional Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care during Ronnie's illness. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Steve Tucker. The family will be at the home at other times. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or Altamahaw Baptist Church, 3445 Altamahaw Church Street, Elon, NC 27244.
