RONNIE PATTERSON Ronald Lee Patterson, age 51, of 2784 Jacobs Trail, passed away Wednesday June 24, 2009 at his home. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of John Knox and Ann Touchstone Patterson. He operated R.L. Patterson and Assoc. Real Estate, Inc., Mini Warehouses of Alamance and Indian Rock Vineyard. Ronnie attended Elon College, he was a former member of Burlington Lodge 721 and presently Bula Lodge 409 A.F.& A.M., a member of the Burlington Shrine Club where he had served as Past President and was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court, 186. Ronnie lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel, music, cooking, entertaining, his vineyard and the Carolina Hurricanes. Survivors include his parents, John Knox and Ann Touchstone Patterson of Burlington and Sugar Grove, VA; brothers, J. Hobart Patterson and wife Jane and Mark Steven Patterson and wife Jenny; all of Burlington; sister, Nan Patterson Cooper and husband David of Elon; his life partner Rhonda Cooper Morgan and her son Bryant Wilson Morgan; nephews John and Will Cooper, niece Kathryn Patterson and of course his dog Rufus. The family would also like to include his close friend and nurse, Mary Badgett and a special great aunt, Nannie Keck. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday June 27, 2009 at the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Michael D. Ward. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the service. At other times the family will be at the home of John and Ann Patterson, 2746 Jacobs Trail, Burlington, NC. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Hospice nurses and his friends at Duke Clinic. Memorial may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell; 914 Chapel Hill Rd.
