Ronald Craig Morris

Ronald Craig Morris, 67, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Charlottesville, VA to the late Ronald Ray and Betty Ann Sprouse Morris and was married for almost 30 years to Melinda Gay Brown Morris who survives.

Craig was a very active church member at both Stony Creek Presbyterian Church and Hillside Presbyterian Church.  He was a teacher, coach, commissioned lay pastor and a man of wisdom.  He truly enjoyed working as a contractor and was the owner/operator of Morris Construction Company for several years.  Craig was an avid golfer, played semi-pro baseball and played baseball during college at Elon.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.   

He is survived by his wife, Melinda, children, Andy Morris and his wife Jennan, Matt Morris, Jessica Mapes, Megan Robinson, Sam Scott and John Morris; twelve grandchildren and a brother, Samuel Scott Morris and his wife Terri.  

A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
