Ronald Ashworth

Burlington - Ronald G. "Ronnie" Ashworth, 70, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Durham VA Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30, 1948 in Alamance County.

Ronnie was a retired plumber and a sergeant in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed country music, riding and showing horses. He was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Ronald Lee Ashworth; his daughter, Wendy Ann Allison, five grandchildren; cousin, Shirlene Garner and husband Larry and his Beloved Dog, "Sunshine".

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Gilbert Ashworth and Evon A. Long.

The graveside service will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 at McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Darrell Massey. The family would like to thank the staff of the CLC unit at Durham VA Hospital for the excellent care they provided for Ronnie
