Mr. Ronald Jabe Agnew, age 75, of Graham, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home after several years of failing health.
Born in Orange County, he was the son of the late Charles Herbert Agnew, Sr. and the late Ruth Davis Agnew and was married for over 50 years to Mrs. Linda Huffines Agnew, who survives. He retired from Mebane Packaging with over 23 years of service and was a longtime member of Baptist Temple. Ronald loved tinkering with cars and also enjoyed fishing and golf.
Mr. Agnew is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Rodney Agnew and his wife, Leigh, of Gibsonville; three grandchildren, London Agnew, Luke Agnew and Christy Agnew Chrisco; two great grandchildren, Caleb Agnew and Christina Chrisco; a sister, Ella Ruth (Billy) Montgomery of Alamance; three brothers, Norman (Rose) Agnew of Mebane, Henry "Tiny" (Doris) Agnew of Gibsonville and Jeff "J.W." (Donna) Agnew of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Treva Daniels; and a brother, Charles Herbert "C.H." Agnew, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Baptist Temple by Dr. Don Carter. Interment with military honors will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 PM Thursday prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
