Romaner Cates

Burlington-Romaner Hundley Eastwood Cates, 96 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was a native of Rowan County and the daughter of the late Tony Morgan and Jetti Shoemaker Hundley.
Romaner was employed for many years with Virginia Mills and was a member of the Burlington Assembly of God. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dale and Melinda Eastwood; 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Dorothy Overbey Paschal and a brother, Jack Hundley; sister-in-law, Jean Hundley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eastwood and Garland Cates; parents, son, Larry Eastwood; grandchild, Clay Eastwood; brothers, William, Clarence and Hoyle Hundley and a sister, Louis Eastwood.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Burlington Assembly of God by Rev. Bryan Rainbow. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45pm prior to the service at the church.
