Rollin Lavon Moye

      Mr. Rollin Lavon Moye, age 82, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell after several months of failing health.

      Born in Wilson, NC, he was the son of the late Leslie and Esther Baldree Moye and was married for 44 years to Mrs. Shirley Jean Fogleman Moye, who survives. He retired with over 30 years of service as a superintendent with Barnhill Contracting and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Liberty. Rollin enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan, especially NASCAR, and liked to work in his yard.

      Mr. Moye is survived by his wife of the home; three children, Shane Moye (Ashley), Kim Dawson (Larry) and Robin Jones (Everett); two grandchildren, Logan Davis (Matt) and Dylan Smith (Kristan); two great grandchildren, Harper and Sophie; and a brother, Ray Moye. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings, Kathleen, Linwood, Edna, Harvey Lee, Leslie, Jr., Carrie, Carl, Peggy and Lucille.

      A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Liberty by Brother Travis Nichols. The family will receive friends following the service at the Kingdom Hall. A graveside service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park following the visitation.
