Roland "Rollie" Seel

Roland George “Rollie” Seel, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Twin Lakes Health Care Center. He was born in Wayne County, Michigan and was raised in Detroit. He was the husband to Mary Porter Williamson Seel of 71 years who died in 2017.

Roland retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service.  A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington and was a former member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. Roland was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his children, David Seel and wife, Elizabeth of Pleasant Garden, NC, Karen S. Boone and husband, Joseph of Niskayuna, NY and Greg Seel and wife, Brenda of Burlington; grandchildren, Paul Seel, Amanda Hoffman, Sarah Zarrelli, Kelly Ventra and Rachel Seel and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Seel; his parents, Roland Noah Seel and Margaret Herron Seel, and a grandson, David Andrew Seel.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Twin Lakes Health Care and Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell for their compassionate care.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
