Roger Mansfield

Elon Roger Dale Mansfield, 63, of Shaw Rd. died on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a year of declining health. He was born in Rockingham County to the late Thomas Jefferson "Tommy" and Annie Carter Mansfield and was married to Tina P. Mansfield, who survives. Roger was the shop manager at Glen Raven Transportation where he served as a loyal and dedicated employee for 45 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and attended Ossipee Baptist Church. Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters, Angela Mike Jennings of Mebane and Julie Anthony Talley of Prospect Hill; son, Jason Kay Arsenault of Asheboro; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Mansfield, Sr. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jason Wilkerson with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
