Roger Haizlip

Burlington, NC Roger Dale Haizlip, age 61, of Pollard Avenue went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28, 2010. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Tommie Leslie Haizlip and Annie Davis Haizlip who survives. Roger retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother; sons, Roger Haizlip, Jr. of the home and Dale Haizlip and his wife, Myra of Burlington; daughter, Cindy Lassiter and her husband, Larry of Burlington; companion, Angie Dawn Sutton and her children Ashley and Mae Sutton all of Burlington; brothers, Leon Haizlip and his wife, Pat of Elon, Bobby Haizlip and his wife, Reba of South Carolina, Curtis Haizlip and his wife, Kaddy of Burlington, Rev. Chris Haizlip and his wife, Wendy of Statesville. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Douglas Haizlip. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chris Haizlip and the burial will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of his mother, Annie D. Haizlip.
