Roger Funderburk

Roger Dale Funderburk, 64, of 1307 Lashley Park Dr. passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Mr. Funderburk was born October 19, 1945 in Guilford County to the late Mark Alfred and Edith Michaels Funderburk. He worked for Carolina Tank Lines, was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife Helen L. Funderburk of the home; two daughters, Cyndi Turner and her husband Doug of Burlington, Cassie Oklesh and her husband Eli of Gibsonville; two sons, Roger Junior "R. J. " Funderburk of Burlington, and Kevin Dale Funderburk of High Point; four grandchildren, Stephen Bristow, Nolan Turner, Ash Turner, and Caleb Oklesh. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Brenda Langley. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Ayers officiating. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
