Roger Dellinger

Burlington-Roger Rocky Dale Dellinger, age 70. Passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 40 years to Robberta Robin Lindsey Dellinger who survives. Roger retired from ECI and was a member of City Lake Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; children, Allen Dellinger, Troy Dellinger, Jody Dellinger, April Dellinger Tate and Christopher Dellinger all of Burlington; 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth Dellinger, Callie Dellinger, Matt Dellinger, Amanda Dellinger, TJ Dellinger, Nathan Nance, Stephanie Jones, Nicole Jordan, Jennifer Teter, Taylor Knox, Ava Dellinger and Allie Dellinger; 4 great grandchildren, Travis, Zoey, Jackson and Elaina all of Burlington; brother, Mel Dellinger and wife, Cheryl, David Paul Moon< Sr. and William Allen Moon all of Burlington; sister, Linda Jean Ezell of Coats, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin L. Dellinger, Sr. who was killed in WW II and mother and step father, Mildred Jordan Dellinger Mama Moon and Paul Tot Moon; sister, Sandra Kay Duckworth. A memorial service will be held at a later date and the family will be at the residence, 303 Elmira Street in Burlington at other times.
