Roger Carter

Graham - Roger Arnold Carter, 69 of Graham went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home. He was born in Alamance County on April 14, 1947 to the late Robert Wilford and Quincy Ann Moore Carter and was the husband of 50 years to Priscilla Carter of the home.
Roger attended First Baptist Church of Haw River. He was employed with Southern Pride for over 20 years then later went on to retire from the City of Graham. He coached little league ball for many years and enjoyed gardening, listening to oldies music and restoring classic cars.
He is survived by his wife of the home, daughter, Marcie McKinney and husband Derick of Haw River; brothers, Ernest Carter, Danny Carter and wife Kris; numerous nieces and nephews and his special K-9 companion, "Max". He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pauline Willard and Louise Flinchum; brothers, David Carter, R.W. "Bub" Carter, Eddie Carter and Bill Carter and his loving dogs, "Prissy" and "Brock".
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Derick McKinney and Rev. Jonathan Jenkins with the entombment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
