Roger Bennett

Burlington, NC Roger Lee Bennett, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Hermie Roosevelt Bennett and the late Ruby Lee Kizer Bennett. Roger also known as "The Million Dollar Man" enjoyed people and making new friends. He loved music and watching old movies. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Roger is survived by his father and step mother, Hermie R. and Phyllis Carol Bennett of Conway, S C; brothers, Randy Bennett and wife, Pam of Franklinton, Ricky Bennett and wife, Dora of Henderson and Jeffrey Bennett and wife, Heather of Conway, S C; sister, Lisa Newton of Raleigh; seven nieces and five nephews and one great niece. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 am prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to Ralph Scott Life Services, Inc., 408 W. Trade Street, Burlington, NC 27217 to help with those who have developmental disabilities.
