Rochelle Williams Berry

On April 25, 2022, Rochelle received her heavenly escort into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Born Marilyn Rochelle Williams on September 17, 1937 to the late Jeff and Verlee Williams, she was wife to her childhood sweetheart, Richard “Pedie” Berry who preceded her in death.

A member of the first graduating class of Williams High School, Rochelle was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and an intercessor for all.  Her knowledge of the Word of God and willingness to share God’s truth will be impossible to replace.

 She is survived by daughters, Joni (Robert) Grooms and Amy Berry, sons, Richard (Sherry) Berry and Charles Berry.  Grandchildren, Jami (John) Doby, Chip (Kristy) Berry, Rob Grooms, Christian (Grey) Shoffner, Rebecca (Patrick) Gray, Nick (Kayla) Berry and Hannah Berry.  Sister, Pam (Tommy) Berry, sister-in-law, Mary Williams and her four beloved niece and nephews.  She was also the proud great grandmother of 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Williams and two granddaughters, Ashley Nicole and Alisha Dawn.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 noon at The Lamb’s Chapel, Haw River Campus led by Pastor Todd Martin.  Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:45 am to 11:45 am immediately prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of her daughter, Amy Berry, 4447 Cornerstone Drive, Burlington.
