Robert Harding Windham, Jr., 69, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home in Seven Lakes.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Robert H. Windham, Sr. and Margaret Brothers Windham and husband of Constance Apple Windham. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Charlotte Crayton.
He retired as Director of Alamance County Mental Health and Substance Abuse and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. Robert served his community in many ways including serving on the Burlington Recreation and Parks Commission, the Board of Directors for Residential Treatment Services of Alamance, the NC Mental Health Association and the Friendship Center of Alamance.
There will be a celebration of his life11:00 AM, Friday, June 15th at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. The family will receive friends following the service.
Survivors include his wife, Constance Apple Windham of the home; sons, Nathan Windham and wife Katie of Nelson, VA, Jonathan Windham and wife Stacey of Fayetteville, Nathaniel Sexton and Matthew Sexton both of Colorado; grandchildren, Cole, Elle, Jaden, Pearce and Jack Windham, his mother, Margaret Brothers Windham of Burlington and his sister Nancy Pedersen of Burlington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, Residential Treatment Services of Alamance or Friendship Center of Alamance.
