Graham, NC Robert "Spot" Doyle Vinson, age 54, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Thomas Doyle Vinson, Jr. and the late Frances Strader Vinson. Robert was a self employed mechanic using his talents to restore antique cars, street rods, repair lawnmowers and anything mechanical that needed attention. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church where he served the church by operating the sound system. Robert had many interests including his love of history especially the Civil War and movies depicting the Old West. He was a loving and devoted son, brother and friend to everyone he met. Survivors include his father, Thomas Doyle Vinson, Jr. and his step mother, Judy Frazier Vinson of Graham; sister, Lisa Anne Vinson-Teeter of Graham; brother, Keith Vinson of Snow Camp; step sister, Jacqueline Dixon of Norfolk, Virginia and a step brother, Scott Raines of Graham; nieces, Elizabeth Teeter Mench and Brandy Lynn Vinson-Teeter; two grand nephews; one grand niece and his special dog companion, "Killer" of the home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Strader Vinson. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by Rev. Robert Shelton and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of his parents. Memorials may be made to Mt.
