Robert Offenheiser

Robert Charles Offenheiser, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2016, after a long courageous battle with numerous ailments. A native of Jersey City, New Jersey, he retired with his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Huckins Offenheiser who survives, in Burlington, North Carolina. Robert retired from the Local Union #373 Plumbers & Steamfitters of New York and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Amongst his many trades and talents, he was a small business owner and farmer. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary of the home; eleven children: Katherine Gregory (daughter) and husband, Ray of Chester, NY; Michael Offenheiser (son) and wife Melissa of Pine Bush, NY; Virginia Drake (daughter) and husband Lee of Pine Bush, NY; Diane Rybak (daughter) and husband Joseph of Morganton, NC; Karen Morgan(daughter) and husband Stuart of Circleville, NY; Robert Offenheiser (son) and wife Sandy of Middletown, NY; Amy Hufcut (daughter) and husband David of Chambersburg, PA; Patricia Russo (daughter) and husband Nichoulas of Liberty, NC; Sarah Kimrey (daughter) and husband Jonas of Snow Camp, NC; Mary DuBois (daughter) and husband Jeff of Snow Camp, NC; Amanda Drummond (daughter) and husband Christopher of Kernersville, NC; sister Nancy DeNoble of Hillsdale, NJ; twenty-nine grandchildren and seven great grand children. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Milton Offenheiser and mother, Beryl Bates Offenheiser. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Briant Cullinane, OFM, Conv. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 9:00am to 9:45am Thursday morning prior to the service.
