Robert Laws, Jr.

Mr. Robert James Laws, Jr., age 69, of Gibsonville, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Richlands, VA, he was the son of the late Robert James Laws, Sr. and the late Ella Mae White Laws and was married for over 47 years to Mrs. Evelyn Sue Shores Laws, who survives. James retired from Robertson and Son Masonry and was a member of Twin Oakes Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Laws is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Beverly Rene Williams and her husband, Larry, of Burlington and Jennifer Marie Laws of the home; two sons, Father Robert James Laws III of Crisville, MD and Jeffrey Scott Laws of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Zachary, Anna-Noel and Andrew; and two sisters, Frances Couch of Burlington and Mildred Davis of Richlands, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Isaac. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Olin Tatum. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
