Concord, NC Robert Lee Inman, age 70, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 47 years to Rev. Jeanette P. Inman who survives. Robert was the owner and operator of Sonshine Lawn Care for many years and he retired from Kannapolis City Schools. He was a prior member of 25 years at Asheboro First Assembly and currently a member of Concord First Assembly where he served in the Seniors Ministry. He was actively involved in Media and Children's ministry and he served as an usher for many years. Robert served in the National Guard and enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and watching old western movies in his spare time. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Rev. Jeanette P. Inman of the home; daughters, Angela Inman and Sandy Inman both of Concord; sister, Martha Miles and her husband, Harvey of Burlington; brother, Edward Inman and his wife, Edna of Alamance. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robyn Jeanette Inman, parents, Walter Emmerson Inman and Eva Watt Hutson Inman Hutchens; step father, H. C. Hutchens and a brother, Franklin Inman. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Burlington NC by Rev. Kevin Whidden and Rev. Brad Hargett and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends on Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 4 until 5 pm at Concord First Assembly, Suite 75 at The Village, 280 Concord Parkway Suite 75, Concord, NC 28027.
