Robert Huffman

Robert E. Huffman, 79, of Elon passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Iredell County to the late Emmett and Mary Elizabeth Hayes Huffman and was married for 56 years to Carole Dillon Huffman, who survives. He retired from Guilford Mills in Greensboro and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Carole D. Huffman of the home, son, Craig Rhonda Huffman of Elon; daughter, Robin Ken Kaiser of Matthews; grandchildren, Ashley Darrell Davis, Andrew Huffman, Rachael Byrnes, Torsten Byrnes, Madison Kaiser, Bailey Kaiser and Cole Kaiser; sisters, Betty Peyton of Elon and Linda Henry Jones of Elon and a brother, Tom Huffman of North Myrtle Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Huffman. The funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dave Gilbert with interment to follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
