Robert Helmick

Robert Darrius "Bob" Helmick, 60 of 1110 W. Webb Ave. passed away Monday September 28, 2009 at his home. He was the husband of Rebecca "Becky" Jenkins Helmick and was born April 2, 1949 in Flint, MI to the late James Helmick and Leatta Shingleton Helmick who survives. Bob worked for Rick Hendrick Motorsports and served in the US Army. He was a loving and devoted family man. Survivors include his wife of the home, mother of Clarksburg, WV, daughters; Stacey Sabot of Burlington, Sheylene Helmick, Marissa Helmick, Sierra Helmick all of the home, sons; Clarence "CJ" Helmick, Robert S. Helmick both of the home, grandchildren; Daisy Sabot, Nykira Gilmer, Jennifer Helmick, Triston Helmick, sisters; Patricia Roger Longwell, Janet Whitey Fincham, Pam Gary Moore all of WV, Mary George Krasinian of IL and special friends Mike and Denise Dodson, Willis and Family and Travis and family. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Mary Jean "MJ" Tucci. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. The family would like to thank Rick Hendrick Motorsports for their concern and support during Bob's illness.
