Robert Harman

Robert H. Harman, 81 passed away May 4, 2010 at Alamance Health Care Center. Mr. Harman was born October 15, 1928 in Bland, Va. to Glen S. Harman and India M. Harman. He was the husband of the late Helen Davis Harman. Robert retired from General Electric, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his three daughters, Patricia H. Benson of Burlington, Elaine C. Edwards and her husband Randy of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Jeanette L. Harman of Burlington; grandchildren, Clare B. Stone and her husband, Brian, Jason M. Edwards and his wife, Tina of Alabama, and Catherine E. Fancher and her husband, Michael of Alabama; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Mills and her husband, Elwood of Maryland; and a special friend, Mary Ann Fitzgerald of Burlington. Mr. Harman was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a sister, Mary E. Shaw. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at his daughter's home at 321 Trail 8 in Burlington
