Robert Faucette

Burlington - Robert J. Faucette, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017 following several weeks of failing health. He was born December 26, 1935 to the late Charlie Newton and Lula Stephens Faucette and was the husband of 64 years to Myrtle Rebecca Workman Faucette of the home.
Robert was a charter member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church where he taught the Lightbearers Sunday School Class and was most recently a member of Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church. He enjoyed grilling, cookouts, golf trips and spending time with his family. Robert had a great sense of humor and loved to pick and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of the home; son, Gary Faucette (Deborah); daughter, Donna Hunter (Richard); grandchildren, Jeannie Collins (Jeff), Kimberly Hughes (Aaron), Kristen Wilson (Reggie), Brock Faucette and Stephanie Dineley (Patrick); great grandchildren, Trinity, Brandon, Tabitha, Haley, Miranda, Darius, Daisha, Kendall and Charlie Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Brandon Hunter and brothers, C.N. Faucette, Jr., James Faucette and Donnie Faucette.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brian C. Wardlaw with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the daughter, Donna's home in Haw River.
