Robert Compton

Robert Lee Bob Compton, 56, of 2309 Rogers St., died Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Wrightsville Beach after a sudden boating accident. A native of Alamance County, he was married to Mrs. Brenda Buckner Compton, who survives, for 27 years and was the son of the late Walter Allen Compton and Mrs. Rachel Brooks Compton, who survives. He was retired from Engineered Controls International Inc., was formerly employed with Leesona Inc. and was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Wildlife Association. Bob Compton was a loving husband, father, son and Pepe. Mr. Compton is survived by his wife of the home; his mother of Burlington; two daughters, Tracey Terrell of Raleigh and Angela Angie Le Moigne and her husband, Serge, of Nantes, France; a granddaughter, Klervi Le Moigne; an expectant grandson, Nolan Le Moigne; loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2005 at Eastlawn Baptist Church by Dr. Terry Prichard. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
