Robert Anderson

Mr. Robert Olan Anderson, 88, of 2916 Lake Dr. passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Hospice Home. Mr. Anderson was born February 9, 1920 in Caswell County to the late John Thomas Anderson and Maggie Dunevant Anderson. Mr. Anderson was married for 57 years to Mrs. Mildred Addison Anderson until her death in 2002. Robert worked 35 years with Burlington Mills Plaid and then 10 years with Copeland. Mr. Anderson attended Hopedale Christian Church and was an Army WW II veteran and fought 17 months on the frontline in Europe. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Faye Robinson and her husband Michael of Gibsonville, and Susan Carol Madden and her husband, Bennie of Burlington; two sons, Gregory Lynn Anderson of High Point and Jeffrey Brian Anderson and his wife, Pam of Elon; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Cynthia Elaine Anderson; a grandchild, Angelia Denise Lindley; six sisters and five brothers. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bob Cauthren. The interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff and management at Springview Assisted Living and to The Hospice Home for the care of their father.
