Robert Allen

Burlington Robert Cleatus Allen, 69, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert H. Allen and the late Dorothy Huffman Allen and was the husband to Dianne Rumley Allen for 38 years. Robert retired after 30 years with AT&T. He was a member of the Pioneers Club and a US Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife Dianne of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie and Janet Allen of Cary, Chris and Barbara Allen of Graham, Lee and Lisa Sartin of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Landree Elizabeth Allen, Hunter Marie Allen, Hannah Elizabeth Allen, Adrian Christopher Allen and Jamie Lee Sartin; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeannie Parker, Cindy and Don Williams all of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theresa Turner. The graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times the family will be at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215. Lowe Funeral Home is serving the Allen family.
